Every year New Life Academy has a family fun day. All the students and their families go to a local park called Comprehensive Park and play games. The students are divided up into teams and compete against each other at different stations that the teachers set up. It is a fun tradition that really helps everyone bond and just have fun for a day. The indoor soccer field that we rent for the event is HUGE which made for a lot of running around since I was the designated photographer for the day. It was a lot of fun though, and the kids had a great time letting out all that mid-year energy. There were all sorts of games and competitions at each station. After lunch all the teams combined to make up 4 larger teams which relayed against each other. Most of my pictures are from the after-lunch portion because I was taking pictures on Michael's camera before lunch. Here are a few of the MANY pictures from the day:
Marina, Suzuna, & Ayaka
Preschool through Kindergarten had their own set of games including competing to see which team could get the most amount of balls into the basket... the parents eventually jumped in to help which made it interesting.
they had to drag each other on a carpet... but we put the carpets in plastic garbage bags to make it a little easier.
and when they still couldn't get it... some of them just dragged the other one without the carpet... this was hilarious, Christian just kept holding on and Hiroki just kept pulling... I was surprised Christian didn't rip a giant hole in his pants.
the Kindergarten group trying to pass the hula hoops with their hands connected... boys vs. girls. I think the boys one this round.
