School Days

Throughout the school year I have taken quite a few pictures during the school days... most of them were for the yearbook but I thought I'd share them on my blog too. It has been a great year and I have learned a lot about being a teacher. My students are wonderful, even the challenging ones. I am constantly amazed at how loving kids are... they never seem to run out of love to give. Even the long, exhausting days have highlights of laughter and fun. Here are some pictures from school days over the last few months:

Spirit Week

Spirit week is always a fun time... I remember getting into it in high school and it was fun to see that excitement in my students. It is fun to be a teacher for spirit week... you can be as crazy as you want and no one cares. And if your students think you're crazy, well... they probably already do. :) It was a fun week full of crazy outfits and school spirit.

"Multiplicity Monday" - it is like twin day but the goal is to get as many people to match as possible

I joined the high school group for this day. we made t-shirts and wore jeans (timothy had already changed for P.E. in this picture).

Milena & Mana - probably the most exact "twins" of the day

Kiana, Risa, Elena, Kai, & Mai

5th grade boys - Ryota, Kai, Susumu, & William

5th & 6th Grade Girls - Mona, Rio, Mona, Rimi, AC, and Ayame

Monica & Carolyn

The largest group of "twins" was the Kindergartners who wore black and jeans.

Mona & Rio - 5th grade

Tomomi

Kanon & Jueri

Office ladies - Junko & Chikako

"Wacky Wednesday"

funny story - I was worried that I was overdoing it for "Wacky Wednesday" because the information sheet just said crazy hair and socks, but when I came out of my room to go to school Kristen was dressed almost identically. We both had striped shirts, mismatched earrings, crazy hair, shorts over leggings, and crazy socks/shoes. We just laughed and hoped that we didn't get into a car accident on the way to school. People all day said that they thought we coordinated on purpose.

these guys were my favorite for the day - Casey & Cody

Kristen was Pippy Long Stocking for the day

"Color Day" - Each class had a specific color for the day. The goal was to see how much of that color they could wear as a class.

3rd grade - red

4th grade - blue

5th & 6th grade - brown

PreK & Kindergarten - Yellow

1st & 2nd grade - white
